Psalm 8:
"Yahweh, our Lord, how magnificent is Your name throughout the earth!
You have covered the heavens with Your majesty. Because of Your adversaries, You have established a stronghold from the mouths of children and nursing infants to silence the enemy and the avenger.
When I observe Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You set in place, what is man that You remember him, the son of man that You look after him? You made him little less than God and crowned him with glory and honor. You made him lord over the works of Your hands; You put everything under his feet: all the sheep and oxen, as well as the animals in the wild, the birds of the sky, and the fish of the sea that pass through the currents of the seas.
Yahweh, our Lord, how magnificent is Your name throughout the earth!"
Romans 8:18-25:
"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us. For the creation eagerly waits with anticipation for God's sons to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to futility — not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it — in the hope that the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of corruption into the glorious freedom of God's children. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together with labor pains until now. And not only that, but we ourselves who have the Spirit as the firstfruits — we also groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for adoption, the redemption of our bodies. Now in this hope we were saved, yet hope that is seen is not hope, because who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with patience."
Revelation 4:8-11:
"Each of the four living creatures had six wings; they were covered with eyes around and inside. Day and night they never stop, saying: 'Holy, holy, holy, Lord God, the Almighty, who was, who is, and who is coming.' Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to the One seated on the throne, the One who lives forever and ever, the 24 elders fall down before the One seated on the throne, worship the One who lives forever and ever, cast their crowns before the throne, and say: 'Our Lord and God, You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power, because You have created all things, and because of Your will they exist and were created.'"
Revelation 21:1-4:
"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea no longer existed. I also saw the Holy City, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like bride adorned for her husband. Then I heard a loud voice from the throne: 'Look! God's dwelling is with humanity, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will no longer exist; grief, crying, and pain will exist no longer, because the previous things have passed away."
This week we continue to praise God for His goodness, sovereignty, greatness, and holiness as we reflect on His works and on all that He has made. God is the Creator of all things, the Giver of all life, the Author of all time. We have been redeemed by the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ, and have been reconciled through Him to our heavenly Father, so that we have now come to know and to believe in the Eternal One, the True God, the King of kings and Lord of lords, the Alpha and the Omega, Beginning and the End, the Creator of all things, the true and just and righteous Judge of both the living and the dead, the Holy and Most High God Almighty. He is worthy of not just our praise, but of all the praise of every creature and every created thing everywhere, forever and ever. He is Savior and Redeemer not just for some of us, but for every nation, tribe, and tongue, and even for all of creation itself! And one day He will make everything new and we will live forever in His holy presence, where there will be no more death or pain or sorrow. So as we gather together as his church, let us lift our voices with one heart and mind and praise our God who reigns forever on high, that we may testify to all creation and all the nations about what God has done for us — about His salvation, His kindness and mercy and generosity, His righteousness and justice, and His truth and love.
Psalm 146:
"Hallelujah! My soul, praise the Lord. I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing to my God as long as I live.
Do not trust in nobles, in man, who cannot save. When his breath leaves him, he returns to the ground; on that day his plans die.
Happy is the one whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them. He remains faithful forever, executing justice for the exploited and giving food to the hungry. The Lord frees prisoners. The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord raises up those who are oppressed. The Lord loves the righteous. The Lord protects foreigners and helps the fatherless and the widow, but He frustrates the ways of the wicked.
The Lord reigns forever; Zion, your God reigns for all generations. Hallelujah!"
